Floral Tooled Skull Mug

This mug has been wheel thrown using buff speckled stoneware clay.  The design has been hand painted with underglaze then hand carved.  After the first firing, an application of glossy brown glaze has been applied to the carved areas and then wiped back.  The interior of the mug has turquoise glaze and outside a satin matte turquoise glaze. The underglazed images have been given a coating of liquid quartz. 

This mug holds 14 ounces and is dishwasher and microwave safe.  Although we do recommend hand washing.

All of my work is handmade by myself.  Small inconsistencies in colour, size, and shape should be expected due to the nature of the process.
